What are the steps to clear cache partition for heating concerns?

Was given steps on clearing phone cache to help with the heating. Can someone provide those steps again,  it will be greatly appreciated. I only notice it now when I am doing chats over a long period of time with a business that is providing customer services.  Thank you.

If good, check app for the most battery usage, then field and test.

Reboot to Maintenance screen

Choose Clear Cache Partition

Next, choose Repair Apps option

... phone will automagically reboot back ... give it 2-3 minutes to finish

Steps: Power down device by pressing and holding the power button until the power menu pops up. (With Bixby enabled, Press and hold both Volume Down and Power)
Enter Recover/Maintenance Mode by simultaneously Pressing and Holding Power and Volume Down for several seconds.
