Why does the phone go into sleep mode before listening to Voicemail completely?

Yes, why does the dumb phone go into sleep mode before one even has a chance to listen to a voice-mail? This phone has so many flaws, it's amazing.

What do you mean by "sleep mode"?

Like screen goes black and voice mail stops playing..

The 5 seconds or so from when you last touched the screen to when the screen goes black, it doesn't even allow time for one to listen to a phone message before it gets interrupted by that..

Does this happen once the phone is unlocked/swiped open? Or are you in the lock screen?

After unlocking or swiping open

Go to settings, display and look for screen timeout.

I had that problem also so I upped the time to 5 min. You might Wana do 2 min probably. Remember to turn off screen if you are done with it..it'll stay on till the 5 min are up.
