My husband's S23 case is separating. This happens when the battery is swelling. As in going bad, going to blow, going to burst into flames at some point. The last time this happened was with his S21, and Samsung wouldn't accept his phone as a trade-in because of the swollen battery. Even though it's THEIR battery and not the result of any user abuse. So last year he got a new phone, an S23. Yesterday he noticed the case is separating. AGAIN. This phone is way too expensive to replace every year.

When I googled "Samsung battery", one surprising piece of info came up: they recommended replacing the battery ever two years. The battery is designed to last 2-3 years? While planned obsolescence is a great marketing strategy, it's bad for the consumer and **bleep** on the environment.
