Can't delete old contacts again (but they keep appearing!)

Okay so this is something that's been bothering me for a few years. I go to the YouTube app and share a link to the Google text messaging app. It shows me a list of my contacts, but it also includes a large amount of old contacts that I already deleted a very long time ago. I can't delete those old contacts again because they are already deleted and they only show up when sharing a link. I think that the same thing still happens even if the thing I'm sharing isn't from youtube. I have deleted all of my backups, and even made new backups, I've tried everything, but I cannot figure out where these old outdated contacts that were already deleted a long time ago or somehow being stored. I feel like this is a huge privacy and security issue, but it's also just incredibly inconvenient because every time I share something I have to scroll through a huge amount of outdated contacts in order to find the contacts that I want because the deleted contacts that are showing up even though they shouldn't take up so much room. I have contacted Google through feedback multiple times already and nothing ever seems to fix this issue. I don't know if Google is somehow saving this information without my permission, or if it's hidden somewhere in my phone and my phone is just being silly and stubborn for no reason without my permission? I honestly have no clue what could be causing this and I have never been able to solve this issue. This is so frustrating because when I delete a contact, it should just be deleted. End of story! Please if anybody knows the solution to this problem I would really appreciate the help. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day.šŸ˜Š

Yes I deleted the numbers that I did not want from all contact apps, which for me would be the Samsung contact app and the Google contact app, and I even deleted all backups anywhere I could possibly find them including the Google and Samsung backups, and made sure they were completely deleted before creating new backups so that the backups would only be based on the currently saved contacts which are all the same across all folders and all sections and all accounts and in both contact apps. I cannot possibly imagine where the old already deleted contacts are hiding, yet still able to appear from but only when sharing a link to the Google messaging app?šŸ˜®

Your contacts sync with Google by default, however, if you are saving and deleting from a default storage location that is not Google, the deleted contacts will come back. Open the contacts app, tap the side menu and when the panel slides out tap on "all contacts" snd see where your contacts are stored. Tap on the location you want to be your default save/display location. Then you can select manage contacts and choose to move or merge your contacts to a single location.

I went into every section in the side menu on both the Google contacts app and the Samsung contacts app, I went to the section on both apps where it says all contacts as well as every single other section and folder, and none of the deleted contacts exist which is a good thing, but I don't know how they are able to still appear when sharing a link. My reply to Kimberleigh also include some details above.

I just really want to emphasize how mysterious this is because my old contacts, to the best of my knowledge, do not exist anywhere on any Google or Samsung backups or in any cloud, they also do not exist in any app or in any folder or any contact list or backup on my phone, I have searched all over my phone and through my accounts and backups to the best of my ability and for all intents and purposes, my deleted contacts do not exist anywhere, making it impossible for me to delete them because I already deleted them a long time ago. The problem is is that these old contacts must exist somewhere somehow, if they are able to appear as options in my contacts list whenever I go to share a video link from YouTube to the Google text messaging app. It's really strange because all of these old outdated already deleted contacts just end up mixed in with my normal contacts list, therefore making it much more cluttered and inconvenient than it should be. I promise that I have gone into every folder and looked at every single setting, I've looked at every single contact in the Google and Samsung contacts apps one by one from top to bottom probably a hundred times or more, I can't wrap my mind around it. I just don't understand what's happening.
