Contacts Recently Added list with One UI 7 Update

Just got One UI 7 update on my S23 Ultra and noticed that there is a "Recently Added" list in my Contacts that appears before my Favorites list. First, these contacts are/were not recently added contacts and, second, I cannot find a way to delete the list without deleting the contacts. The update seems to have randomly created this list, which is stupid! Please find a way for us to either delete this list or, at the very least, move it below the Favorites list.

I just tapped the recents icon at the bottom ( keypad, recents and contacts) and when I went back to contacts, the recently added numbers were gone and favorites were back on top.

Please for the love of god put the favorites back to the top. I don't want to scroll through a list of recent to find my favorites. Ugh this update was so dumb and annoying. If I wanted my phone to be like iPhone I would have bought one. Smh Samsung 🤦‍♂️

The Favorites will return back to the top in a few day or you can click on each of them and they will be removed from recently added.

I want my favorites at the top also. Mine has not returned to the top since the update.

This is just a rant, but I can't stand this recently added contact thing. The fact that there's no way to turn it off and it's anchored above the favorites section is baffling. 99% of the time I add a new contact its from work, or a dating app both categories of people I NEVER call, but I do frequently call those I intentionally add to my favorites like my mother or doctors. Now rather than having an having almost a speed dial option at the top of my contacts, its weirdos and coworkers adding a tiny new unnecessary step for my carpal tunnel to enjoy just to call my family, or anyone of real importance in my life. Ive literally stopped actually saving people to my contacts because of this feature and just refer to our text conversation to figure out who they are.

I understand your frustration. One way to fix it, which may take a while, depending on how many recent contacts there are, is to tap on and view each of the contacts in the recently added section one at a time and they will be removed the next time you open the contacts app.

Thank you. It drives me nuts! I just went to the recently added list, hit the "i" button beside each contact and it went away!! I now see my favorites on top.
