Galaxy S23I connected my S23+, 256Gb to my Windows 10 Pro using an USB cable, and mounted it as an external drive.
I then proceeded to copy a Windows folder and subfolders containing several thousand mp3 files to the music folder on the phone. The process starts fine and shows files being copied, the remaining percentage of files and time, and then after just a few percent completion (probably several hundred files total) it unexpectedly quits, with no error message, just a beep when the file copy dialog exits. This happens consistently each time I try to copy many files at once
I checked the Windows Event Viewer but could not find any relevant events.
I had other Android phones in the past including S8 and S21 and I never encountered this issue.
Any suggestions?

Galaxy S23It turns out the problem was caused by files with very long names, which apparently are not accepted by Android. After I shortened the file names, the copy operation completed without any additional errors.
It would be nice if this kind of errors were reported to the user so they can be corrected rather than the copy operation failing without any indication of what happened.

Galaxy S23I have the same issue.
Option1. Use a python script to identify long file names and remove them
Option2. Zip the folder, transfer, and unzip
Option3. Use BeyondCompare software to perform the copy after comparing the PC and Samsung Music folders
