Giant white blob at the top of my messaging app. Is that gonna be advertising?

What s that giant white box above my pinned messages? Is that going to be advertising because then I'm done with this app

are u using samsung messages app? is your phone in dark mode? i believe that white blob can be a notice from samsung if u would like to upgrade to google messaging app. Can you provide a screenshot?

Yes I'm using Samsung messages that's why I am here. there is no message about upgrading to Google. It's just a white blob the size of two text Messengers

I have this annoying box.  Has any figured out how to get rid of it.  I do not want google messages.

I also have the "large white blob", I believe it's from an update of Google meet. I don't want to use the Google messaging app, I want the same ol' messages app I've been using. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know. I've force stopped Google meet and un-installed the updates. However, it stays the same.

I figured it out.  If you are not using a default Samsung theme, choose one.  Then go to messages.  In the white box, it will ask if you want to upgrade to Google messages.  Say no. Box will go away and then pick the theme you had before and the box will not be there.

It worked! I switched back to the default theme and then back to the theme I had and the box is gone just as you described. Thank you
