Almost every time I go to the home screen of my phone and swipe it glitches back to the first screen. Every day at least a couple times the apps will completely disappear and I have to restart my phone. This is my first android and I will be switching back to iPhone. I really wanted to like this product. What a shame.

Hello and Welcome!

Thanks for reaching out to the community.

I can understand how frustrating it can be for your phone to be glitchy while using it. This can be caused by a few things like a third party app or the phone just needs to be updated.

First, let's make sure your phone is up-to-date with the latest software. Follow this article here on how to update your phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077582/

Next, try wiping the cache partition. This step is always good to do after an update. The cache partition stores system data, and sometimes it can get cluttered or outdated. Don't worry this is perfectly safe to do, and it won't delete any important data while performing this step.

Follow these steps below on wiping the system cache partition:

1. Connect the device with the computer by the USB Type C and push Volume Down + Power button to switch off your phone.
2. Then press Volume Up and Power key for a short while.
3. Let go of all buttons if you see the SAMSUNG logo
4. Now use Volume keys to select Wipe cache partition and confirm with the Power button.
5. Select the Yes option.
6. At last, choose Reboot system now by using the Power button.

You can also test your phone in safe mode. This mode deactivates all third-party apps from running in the background that could be causing your phone to be glitching. Check out this article on how to use safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

If the symptoms no longer occurs in safe mode, then a third-party app could be causing your phone to glitch. I would recommend deleting your third-party apps starting with the most recent, until the glitching stops completely.

If your phone is still glitching in safe mode and after trying all troubleshooting steps above, then I would now recommend a factory reset. I know this may not be the ideal step to take, but this will reset the phone to its default settings. Make sure you fully back up the phone before doing this step to ensure no data will be lost.
