Mobile data disappears when in call

When in a call on my S23, my mobile data disappears, and comes back after the call. No 5g/4g/lte/etc. logo, no internet. I contacted Samsung support, they said "it is normal, and it is this way on every phone", however, on my old Galaxy S8 mobile data worked perfectly when in call. What is the solution?

My S24+ does this also, including my parents fold 5's it's been doing that for as long as I can remember

I found the solution, VoiceLTE needs to be turned on.

You must be on a different provider other than Verizon

What do you mean disappeared? The indicator icons are gone? If your call doesnt get cut oif and you can access what you need to, what difference does it make if the icons temporarily go away? Not visible does not mean off.

In this case yes, it is off. No internet is avaiable, it only comes back after call. Activating VoiceLTE fixed it though.
