No gmail notifications

I just got new Ultra 23 and gmail no longer pushes notifications on this phone. I previsouly had the Flip 4, which worked seemlessly. I have to manually open the app to check and see if I received new email.

I have checked all settings for notifications and they are on. Restarted phone. Checked for OS updates....

It's just gmail I am not receiving notifications from.

Any other suggestions?

I recently had this problem, and had to sync Google with my phone. It's in the Google account settings.

It was already sync'd 😞

Clear cashe and data and sign back in. Select allow notifications when it ask after sighing in. It worked for me.
