Phone app switching from Google to the Samsung one

So I've always used the Google Phone app but yesterday when I made a call, it looks like it automatically switched to the Samsung Phone app. Anyone else experience this?

How do you know the difference between the 2?

The Google app is real plain and Samsung is colorful. Plus the layout is different. Oddly enough, I made a call today and it was fixed.

I wouldn't say one is better than the other. I think it's more of a preference thing.

And if you didn't download any Google apps, you probably have the stock Samsung apps.

I definitely use more google apps over Samsung. Mostly just my preference. I thought about keeping it streamlined with Samsung apps but I just can't make the switch.

Oh wow okay, I was going to ask why don't you get a google phone or Motorola

I used to LOVE my Google phone when it first came out. I just love the size of the ultra and I use the Spen too.
