Pin number whether it's 4 or 6

How do i get rid of it cause it is turned off but it keeps popping up and not allowing me to access my documents. It should be my choice whether I want to put it on or not.

What's asking for a pin what app or are you referring to the lock screen

If you want to remove the pin from your lock screen go to
Phone settings
Security and Privacy
Tap lock screen
Select Screen Lock
Enter your pin
Under screen lock type select None

The documents are most likely stored in a secure app that requires a pin to protect your privacy so to access them you would have to use a pin or other form of lock screen

@Bruce1st Be aware, though, that removing security from the lock screen will leave you unable to use Samsung Wallet (if you use it), and possibly some other apps; so maybe lose the pin and enable biometrics. You can keep your phone unlocked while still using security by enabling extend lock, and either setting particular locations, connected devices, or on body detection.

As @GaryB82 says, if you have things in a secure folder it requires a PIN, or else it's not very secure, is it? Can you post a screen shot so we are not talking apples, when you are talking oranges?
