S23+ won't connect to drone

My S23+ won't connect to my drone controller which used Android open accessory.  My wife's S22 works fine and gives all the permission requests for AOA.  Any ideas what settings will make this work?

That's good to hear that they dropped support for drones. They are dangerous and should only be operated by professionals and not controlled by consumer mobile phones.

What drone? What app? DJI?

From what I've read, it doesn't seem to matter.  DJI aka people to side load an app for a fix.  My drone is a HS600 from Holy Stone. 

It seems that this is pretty specific to the S23 Plus and ultra.  I've not seen a solution anywhere though.
