Screen unresponsive when tapping twice Galaxy S23 Ultra

I am noticing my screen is not responsive when tapping twice. The option is always on however I need to tap the power button in order to see what is on the screen. Does anyone know why this happening?

I have the Galaxy S22+ and it, more often than not, does the same thing ... any help for any of us?
