Swipe to unlock after fingerprint unlock

Beginning yesterday, 8/18/24, after I use my fingerprint to unlock my S23 ultra, I now have to swipe up to unlock and get to my homescreen. I didn't change any settings, it just started. How do I fix this? I want to unlock with my fingerprint and have my phone go to the hone screen. None of this additional swiping. Thanks

Fixed. A news app I never used ever was turned to always running. Turned it off and I no longer have to swipe up

That is so illogical! I don't understand how some apps have these controls and permissions. Honestly. Congrats on figuring it out!
