5Ghz wifi not showing or connecting in my Galaxy S24 Ultra

My router has a 5GHz Wi-Fi network. The router's Wi-Fi channel uses an 80 M bandwidth.  The network is shown and connected on other devices, but my S24 Ultra does not show or connect to it.

I have the tried "wipe cache partition" option, have reset the network for wifi and bluetooh, and updated the software, but it didn't work.

Please help, I really don't want to miss out on the best speed after spending a lot of money on my phone.

Thank you.

Is it connecting to your wi fi network at all? Bear in mind that 5G cellular is NOT the same thing as a 5 gHz wireless network signal. If your home router is set up on the 5gHz or combo band and your phone connects to your network, your phone's wifi is operating at the 5gHz speed your router supplies. You will only see the 5G connectivity indicator if your CELL signal is connected to a 5G cell tower.

I'm talking about wifi, not cellular. When I turn on the combo band, it only shows and connects to the 2.4GHz network. And when I turn on only the 5GHz, it doesn't show any network.

I am really trying to find a solution to this.

I know you were talking about wifi. I can read. It looked as if you were confusing 5G cellular with 5 gHz wifi - many people do.

In your router settings, change the SSID of your 5-gigahertz network. This way, you know how to directly connect to your 5-gigahertz network. Depending on your router, you will likely see Wi-Fi 6, as circled in my photo. But to know you are on your 5-gigahertz network, you need to connect to the SSID. If you allow your router to decide, it will switch based on signal distance, etc.1734131566401.jpg

When I turn on the combo band, it only shows and connects to the 2.4GHz network. And when I turn on only the 5GHz, it doesn't show any network. And it doesn't show like the icon you marked when I connect to the 2.4GHz.

I am really trying to find a solution to this.

Make sure your ssid is set to show and not be hidden, then change your router 5ghz band channel to 149 or 153 or 157 or 161. Let me know if it shows up. Also, is you trying to use the 80mhz 6ghz it won't work well as a limited used tech that most new routers got rid of due to lack of support . To get the most out of your s24 ultra use connectivity labs1734158743722.jpg1734158764549.jpg

The network is not hidden, my laptop can connect to it. But where can I get the connectivity labs?
