Anti-malware question

I read an article from Samsung saying that anti- malware apps are not needed for galaxy phones. Is this true? 

I can't get a straight answer from any of the search. engines, so can anyone answer this question without trying to sell me something?

And you can run a scan anytime you want to but the phone does it automatically every 24 hours I think. I have the S24 Ultra but the s23 ultra and the S7 fe 5g did it about every 24 hours
