Auto suggestion in Yahoo mail app

I recently switched from a Alcatel TCL phone on the T-Mobile service to the Samsung S24FE under Verizon. I'm using the Yahoo email app on my phone. The auto suggest feature for recipient addresses does not work as well as it did on my previous phone.

I have recipients with whom I've had frequent conversations over a period of time that are not in my contacts. I have personal reasons why I don't have them as contacts.

On my old phone when composing a new email to one of these recipients, simply typing the first few letters of the address brought up the full address as a suggestion. On my Samsung, I have to remember the full address to bring it up; typing the first few letters does not bring up the address. I'm finding this very inconvenient as I'm use to the ease of my old phone.

Both phones have the same version number of the Yahoo mail app. I've done extensive searching on the web for any help with this to no avail. Also tried help sites of the various vendors involved with no helpful advice. I've also been through all the settings on the Samsung but haven't find anything.

Has anyone else come across this on their S24 where the auto suggest in Yahoo mail doesn't work as completely as it does on other phone brands?
