when i restarted my s9+ and set it down while i work.  after it reboots the phone is back on with me touching it.  its sitting in stand by as it should.   when i reboot my more sophisticated s24u and it down, it wont complete the reboot until i manual turn on the screen.  its a small matter  but its annoying.  just like the older phone, the s24 should complete the reboot on its own. very disappointing

Does your S9+ have a security lock (pin/password)?  I assume your S22 does.  A reboot or update does not complete unless the phone has been unlocked.

This is a Google security protocol for all Android phones.
