Can't get individual alert sound for apps

I've followed the advice for creating individual sound alerts for various apps but can't get the desired outcome.  I go into Settings>Sounds and vibration but there is no 'Notification' option.  The screen displays Vibrate while ringing/Ringtone/Notification sound/System sound/Volume etc. down to Separate app sound but no single 'Notification'.  I've tried various other means  of creating individual app sounds but none of them work.

My phone is Samsung S24 FE.  

Can anyone help please?

⁃   Advanced Settings  ≻
⁃   Turn "Manage Notification
     Categories for Each App" On .


     Change Notification
     Sound for Each App

     My favorite way:

⁃   Settings  ≻
⁃   Apps  ≻
⁃   Ring  ≻
⁃   Notifications  ≻
⁃   Allow Notifications Must be On  ≻
⁃   Notification  Categories  ≻
⁃   Click on a Category Text  ≻
      (not the switch on/off)
⁃   Sound  ≻
⁃   Choose a Notification Sound.     

Or let me know which apps you are trying to change the notification sounds. I might have the instructions.

It's my Ring doorbell.  After I do Settings>Sounds and vibrations then my screen does not have the option 'Notifications'.  The only references containing the word notifications are Notification Sound and Notification vibration.  I firstly opted for Notifications sound but that screen just offers optional sounds.  There's no option Advanced or Manage Sounds.

You're not following my instructions that's why you can't see the notification option.

     First Turn This On:
⁃   Settings  ≻
⁃   Notifications  ≻
⁃   Advanced Settings  ≻
⁃   Turn "Manage Notification
     Categories for Each App" On .

Settings > Apps:

 

Choose Ring:

Choose Notifications:

Choose Notification Categories :

Click on a Notification Category Text (not the switch on/off):

Choose Alert then press Sound to pick your notification sound.
