What prompted me to post this is the perception (okay, MAYBE fact) that unlocked devices are last in line for updates and get them waaaaay later than the rest. I'm sure there are more factors besides "carrier-locked versus unlocked" determining how soon a Samsung smartphone gets the latest security or system update. Personally, updates for my unlocked S24U have become available pretty fast, usually the same time as when users w/carrier-locked models announce receiving their updates or at most 2-3 days later. I imagine the update for my phone was available sooner than this evening when I checked. I'm going to try and check early & often for updates & post when my phone gets them, so there's something to use for comparison & we can see whether unlocked devices are still last-in-line and drastically so.
