Anyone have the following error? All of sudden I get this error when trying to use tap to pay. I was able to use it flawlessly yesterday but doesn't seem to want to work anymore.

Did you forgo a security update?  You have to contact Google, as it says in the message.

I am updated. Samsung refered me to Google. Google refered me to Samsung. I refered myself to this community.

The error message states:
"This device can't be set up to tap to pay. Your device doesn't meet security standards to make contactless payments. It may be rooted or running uncertified software."

This typically happens due to one of the following reasons:

Possible Causes & Fixes 1. Device Integrity Check (Google Play Protect) Go to: Settings > Security & Privacy > Google Play Protect > Scan. If your device is flagged as "Uncertified," you won't be able to use Google Pay. 2. Check for Root or Bootloader Unlock If your device is rooted or has an unlocked bootloader, Google Pay disables tap to pay for security reasons. To check: Dial *#*#7378423#*#* (on some devices) and look for "Bootloader unlocked." If unlocked, youā€™ll need to relock it or restore stock firmware. 3. Check Google Play Certification Go to: Play Store > Profile Icon > Settings > About > Play Protect certification. If it says "Device is not certified," Google Pay won't work. Fix: Reinstall the official firmware via Odin (for Samsung) or register your device with Google (Check here). 4. Clear Cache & Reinstall Google Pay Go to: Settings > Apps > Google Pay > Storage > Clear Cache & Data. Uninstall and reinstall Google Pay from the Play Store. 5. Update Software Ensure your Samsung S21 Ultra is running the latest One UI update. Check in: Settings > Software Update > Download and install. 6. Reset Google Wallet & Payment Methods Open Google Wallet > Settings > Remove Payment Methods. Add them again and try enabling Tap to Pay.

If none of these work, let me know if youā€™ve recently updated your software or installed any third-party apps that might interfere!
