How do I charge my phone?

I have it plugged into the wall with a fast charger. What do I need to do to get it to actually charge now?

Plug it into the phone.

It should automatically start charging as soon as you plug it in. Check to make sure the outlet you plugged it into is live, that your cable is connected tightly both into the charger block and the phone's USB port (sometimes it seems tight, but it's not), and lastly, that your charging block actually works. You can do a diagnostic on the phone's charging port to make sure it is good, but you can only do that if the phone actually has power and is on.

How do I do the diagnostic? I have done everything else already and still it is not charging.

In the members app go to the support tab and look for the phone diagnostic. Should be first on the list. If something is wrong with your charging port, contact Samsung and see what your options are. If your phone is still under warranty, they should fix it. They will refer you to athorized repair center whether under warranty or not.

Right tried that had to get another lead in it to get it to register. It said the port was fine. So the issue isn't the port, either cable (tested both on other devices), nor the plug. So it must be some button I am not pressing that now makes it charge. Do you know what it is?

Not since they changed it. I used to just plug in the charger but that doesn't work now and no one here seems to know what to do. Why not just tell me if it is so obvious?

In the same area that you went to do the diagnostic, ask for text help, or contact Samsung service, the phone needs to be evaluated if it's not automatically charging. They didn't change anything in how charging functions.
