Hi, is there a way to get installed an usupported application https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.smarthometechnology.wlanswitch.it on S24 Ultra? Currently I use it on Android 14 S21 5G and I need to have it on my new S24 Ultra.

  1. On old Galaxy export the wanted app as apk file with f.i. AppExtractor
  2. On PC install SDK platform tools and upload the APK to the folder with SDK platform tools
  3. On new mobile enable developer mode (7 times tap on Build number)
  4. Connect new mobile with PC via cable
  5. In the folder with SDK and APK file type: adb install --bypass-low-target-sdk-block FILENAME.APK

Looks like it isn't compatible with the s23 Ultra either currently. Have you tried e-mailing the developer and asking them to update their app to be usable on the s23 and s24 series devices?

Yes, I have contacted the developer and got answer that support ended in January 2024. So now I have ended up having a piece of hardware that I cannot control over my S24 because I not able to install the app. Still the app is running on my S21 Android 14 phone and I am just wondering if there is a way to move it somehow from S21 to S24.

That's on the developer and not your devices. All future devices you buy or any device on the current OS are not going work on.

You need the developer to update the app. Generally they are slow at this kind of stuff.
You could install it outside the play store, but since the developer didn't update it for newer versions expect bugs or certain things not working properly.

Thanks for the detailed guide, maoli_37! It’s frustrating when an essential app becomes incompatible with your device. As AliWright suggested, sideloading with an APK seems like the way to go. In case you’re hesitant about the technical steps, you can check out TrackView Viewer Premium Mod Apk, a handy tool often used for such situations. It simplifies the process and ensures smooth installation, even for unsupported apps. Happy sideloading!"
