I've noticed that when I change the camera settings, my photo info isn't always correct. Wondering if there's a delay in transmitting that information, or if I'm misunderstanding what I'm seeing. Tonight I took 2 pictures of my cat. First one at 50mp, 2nd one at 12mp. File sizes are different in the photo info in gallery, but both pictures say I used the 12mp setting (if I read the info correctly). Can anyone explain if I'm reading things wrong, or what do I need to do for info to be correct?20240331_182502.jpg20240331_182512.jpgScreenshot_20240331_185205_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20240331_185155_Gallery.jpg

I guess that you selected 3x and then changed the resolution from 12MP to 50MP to take the 1st pic. After that, you changed resolution back to 12MP still at 3x to take the 2nd pic.

This would explain the 4080Ɨ3060 for the 1st pic because it was cropped from the main senser 200MP (16320Ɨ12240) to get 3x shots.

However, when you changed to 12MP at 3x, the camera was actually using the 3x lens (10MP) that produces an upscale image to 4000Ɨ3000

I think when I opened the camera it was set to 3x and 12MP but I changed it to 50MP before snapping. Then went back to 12MP. Have to admit that I don't really understand  your comment about the 200MP coming into play (gonna have to do some camera research, just 'cuz I used to work for Kodak sure didn't make me an expert).

After reading your next reply, changed that setting in Camera Assistant and this morning paid better attention  and actually got my 50MP shot. So many thanks for that!Screenshot_20240401_082936_Gallery.jpg

If you would like to get the resolution you selected (i.e. to show the "correct" resolution), install 'Camera Assistant', go to High resolution settings and turn on 'Upscale digital zoom'.
