yeah, Samsung's time frame/estimate of the stable, public release of One UI 7 is when they push it to the carrier, but from there the carriers add their own splash screen, apps & functions etc....so getting the carriers to get it sent out to the customer or user will vary carrier to carrier as well as in time, like last year T-Mobile got the update about a week after Samsung release date, then it was followed by spectrum AT&t US Cellular and so on, mind you each of those were almost a week apart.... that's the only thing people don't seem to understand is that yes the update originally comes from Samsung, but unless your factory unlocked U1 version your updates come from the carriers not samsung, so from there the difference in dates is quite significant
This is all true except for the unlocked devices (U1) comment. Unlocked devices still get their update through the carrier. The only way to get the update direct from Samsung is to get an unlocked device, remove it from it's original packaging, connect to Wi-Fi and update. The moment you put a sim into the device, it reconfigures to go to the carrier's network for the updates. This change does not get rolled back, so removing the sim will not put you back to Samsung's servers.
yes and no must depend on Carrier because I had a Samsung unlocked factory purchase model when I was with US Cellular, and every time I got an update mine came directly from Samsung while my dad's carrier model was released through US cell so it does depend but majority you're right are like that
