Galaxy S24Starting either late last night or this morning there is an e-mail icon in the left corner and notification of "syncing emails...." and notification says "1 active in background>. When I click on that it says check background activity and notes email is running. I think this was caused by some update in the past few days but not sure how to go back to prior. Not sure if this is using battery to keep trying to sync.
I've cleared the cache, closed the program, etc but nothing seems to fix this.
Any pros know if there is a fix in the works? Thanks.

Galaxy S24I have a temporary solution
Go to mobile settings then search "Device Admin App"
Turn off samsung Email app
After that you can now stop apps in active app from background

Galaxy S24I've been experiencing the same issues as you, after I manually updated the Samsung E-mail app via the Samsung Store.
If you go into settings for the Samsung E-mail app, scroll to the bottom and disallow the program from changing system settings. After doing this, then force-stop the e-mail app itself.
These steps, at least for me, have put a stop to the app running constantly in the background. Now, Samsung needs to patch this bug.
Hope this helps.
