Notification sounds are different for each app?

Does anyone know why each app notification has its own sound and how do I customize this?

The sounds are different so you know a different app sent you notifications you can set them all to the same if you want

Advanced Settings 

Toggle on Manage Notifications Categories for each app 

Then you will need to go to every app and change the notification sound

Tap on the app you want to change 

Notification Categories

Like Facebook for a example

and tap on each of the items listed and change the tone

So I followed your tutorial,and i don't see "notification categories ". See the screenshot for example i don't see anything that let's me change the notification sound

Ok yes I just did that but then I just see these options. Nothing that changes the noti sound

Tap on advanced transitions and the others to change the sounds for each of those categories

Oh wow I click on the option itself, i thought we could only toggle it on or off by toggling the blue switch. This is really tedious but thanks

Yeah it use to be easy when apps only had 1 type of notification but now some have over 10 diff. types

You will have to do that on every app you want to change the sounds on

Do u know why for some apps it says"app provided sound" it actually sounds cool when I heard it . How can I find the app sound file ?

Those are built into the app and I don’t think they are stored on the phone itself but in the app files
