Calendar on Home screen

instead of just the Calendar icon on the Home screen, any way of showing the date? just the numerical number? it's never been an issue before. thanks!

You can add a calendar widget to your screen that will show the whole month just the date or events long press on your screen and select widgets my screenshot is just a couple options available

It's been my understanding the number shown on the Samsung calendar icon is the current date., unless you have an icon pack or theme different than the default.

Are you talking about the lock screen or home screen?

The lock screen clock can be changed under settings, lock screen & AOD, edit lock screen. Click on the clock, and different options will appear to choose from.
