I Don't know what the deal is with some of these app permissions but there is no reason that basic features like phone, camera, photo gallery, there's no reason why there are invasive permissions required to operate the camera or view photos. I don't know if it's a Malware issue or samsung issue

Like allowing to scan and detect other devices I don't like that permission being a requirement for anything because I've been fighting off hackers for a long time now and the malware is factory reset resistant.  My phone is **bleep**g fubar now! I hate it!

The reason for that is so you can easily share your photos using nearby share/quick share. Not invasive, necessary. Without that you wouldn't even be able to share with your own devices via Wi-Fi or BT. You should be able to choose for it to only be in use while using the app. Any others?
All manufacturers have similar permission requirements for these apps.

If you've been "fighting off hackers", then perhaps you should invest in some high end security apps - the kind you don't get for free.
