Theyre not getting rid of edge panels. Like, read what they actually said. They're removing the ability to download new ones, likely because the built in ones were enough functionality for most people.

I love edge panels. I use them every day. Really convenient for quick information or multi screen setups. I hate AI it's ruining tech.

I have OneUi 7 now. Edge panels are there. The Edge Panel Store will no longer exist.

I feel it would be great if I could have a edge panels of the stopwatch and/or timer. Other things like the camera or maybe even a custom app shortcut. 

I use a stopwatch and timer very frequently for my job and would really like there to be an edge panels for that. Also I feel like there should be an option to enable or disable certain edge panels to be used even while the phone is locked.

This could be used for things suck as if you loose your phone, they can use the edge panels to call a certain contact to notify you of where it is, or use a stopwatch or timer without having to unlock my phone😉

Also I've looked at the edge panels on the Galaxy store and there are none that I could find that do either a timer or a stopwatch.

Hello, on the s24 the edge panel that opens from the side with all the apps in it will not open correctly when you swipe your finger from the right. Instead when you swipe it open it switches to a different home screen and the edge panel never opens. All of my home screens were on the right side and I had to switch everything to the left side because I had to dedicate the right side of my screen to trying to get the edge panel to work. You guys need to change the sensitivity response. You have two different variables here. You can set the sensitivity bar of the edge panel and you can set the sensitivity to the side of the phone for a regular swiping. Those two sensitivities do not play well together. They're conflicting and it needs to be fixed so please do so. Thank you
