Recent call log - Group by Contact or number?

 I want to view recent calls grouped by contact or number (for a non-contact call). Example: If ABC Company called me three times today and twice yesterday, I want to see ONE entry for ABC Company, which I can tap and see the calls vs FIVE entries in the recent calls over the last two days. Does anyone know how to do this??

My recollection is that this ability was on my phone years back. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Usually if I get or make multiple calls to/from the same number, they are grouped together. Telephone # (3). I don't recall if it's for a day or a period of time. Probably for a single day, since calls are sorted by date. But, if I click an entry, and then then the info, the call history comes up, so you would be able to see what dates contact was made.

In call history it will show the date and tome for each call if I recall right it could have like a number in brackers next to number for number of calls

I don't think I am being clear. 

Here is my RECENT calls right now. Obviously, the colors match to the same caller. I am looking for a way to do away with ANY duplicate colors under the RECENT tab. In other words the top line item would be the most recent interaction - whether inbound or outbound. Once I tap on any line item, I can see all history with that number. Is this even possible??

I thought it used to be that way on the Note 3 or similar? 

@realaud The only way I seem to see your example is if it is THE SAME communication, i.e. outbound call, with NOTHING happening between. If it is different communication (inbound and outbound), or there is a call to/from another contact, then it is split.

This is an example of what you should do. There is no way to color code the call list. All calls are listed in date order, most recent first. Tapping a particular number and then tapping the info circle will bring up your entire call history with that number in date order - incoming, outgoing,
missed, rejected. And, if the person is in your contacts list, you can obtain the same history by going to the contact in your phone, tapping the info and scrolling down to history and tapping that.

The colors were for the purpose of indicating the same color. At no point did I indicate or think that there was an ability to mark callers by color, although that could be useful.

I am also aware that I can see a contacts history.

What i am wishing for, (and thought previously existed) is GROUPING all calls to a contact under that contracts name, whether they be inbound, outbound, missed, etc., under the RECENT tab. As I indicated above, 6.x does not do this.
