I would like Samsung to allow users to use 4 digits instead of the 6 digit requirement to have the option of not pressing ok to confirm the pin. I used to be able to do that by going around it with steps others shared in the past and then out of nowhere, my phone began to require hitting ok without me changing anything. Please help! This is very inconvenient and annoying!!

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to go back. I moved to 6 digits. The difference now is 1 tap.

I have seen a tutorial long back when I got my S24U. Right now I'm using 4 digit pin with auto unlock. I'll check for it.

the rule, originally, was that if you kept using the 4 digit unlock while moving from phone to phone (Smart Switch) where settings transferred, it would still work. but if you ever changed your pin, that's when the new threshold would kick in. I believe I'm remembering that correctly having experienced it myself.

You can set the pin to 4 digits, and have it auto ok this, with the workaround, but be advised, after a restart or on power up, you will need to hit ok after the 4 digits are entered, after this first login it will no longer require the OK button, until the next power up.

It's not allowing me to do so. I tried the go around method and it won't work for me anymore.

Sorry, but it looks like Samsung or Google patched this out, as it is no longer working for me either, after testing it for this thread, now I have to hit ok, or change to 6 digit...šŸ˜“

Did you change your pin code?

The 4 digit option/glitch was removed/fixed with 6.1.1.

As notforhire mentioned, if you had set the 4 digits prior to the 6.1.1 update it should still work. But if you changed the pin code after the update, then 6 digits will be the minimum.
