Sending text to one thread and receiving them in a whole different one?

About a week ago me and my wife were texting and while texting i received a message from her that included some random letters as an additional contact like me were in a mass text but we weren't and ever since that day when she text me it in that mass text thread even though it's just me and her texting. How can i get rid of that?

Think in group settings there's a individual setting reply option as for the intruder or mystery person no idea
