Unable to share backed up photos from my cloud to any social media apps

I have a brand new Galaxy S24+. I now have 9000 photos backed up from Samsung / Google photos on my phone. After setting up the phone I took two photos using the camera as a test photo. When I open facebook or Instagram or any social media and try to upload a photo that was backed up from the cloud it ONLY shows the two new photos that were taken. Zero backed up photos or videos are showing as up uploadable.

I checked all the permissions I could find and nothing fixed it. I went down to a tmobile store and several employees couldn't figure it out. We factory reset the phone. And even went as far as getting an entirely new Galaxy S24+ but it's STILL having the same issue.

When I'm in the gallery on a photo and I hit the Share button, then Instagram, then "Stories" to upload that photo to my story it does not work either. It just refreshes the Gallery instead of pulling up the IG app with the photo in story mode & ready to edit.

Anyone else experience this?

@kass092 Unfortunately you have to download the images to your phone. Then you can select them to share via social media apps.

If you open your social media app in a web browser, you will be able to choose the location of your choice from where to upload your photos. It's not possible in the apps, which default to Gallery only.
