Why did samsung decide to team up with google, my phone has been acting up, my speech to text doesn't work correctly. The spelling and grammar and punctuation are all incorrect. I am completely done with samsung and google, i have a few more payments on this Galaxy. And then I am done purchasing anything from you until you go back to your own entity.

I am willing to bet you downloaded some some malicious actor app or visited some malicious website that put a virus on your phone. Maybe you should try downloading a malware or virus program?

Users doing basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks is also a factor. One does not need to download an antivirus program as the phone has it built in; all one has to do is turn it on.

Lol. Samsung did not merge with google. Samsung phones have always ran Android OS (which is a Google product) in which they put a wrapper on to make it the way Samsung wants it to look

Samsung had its own operating system before Android. Android came out in 07 and HTC was the first phone to use it

Google and Samsung did not merge. They are in partnership because Samsung makes phones and Google owns Android. Samsung has more integration with Google because of the customizations. How well your speech to text works depends on which keyboard and which voice engine you use. Google's speech engine is superior to Samsung's and you can use it with the Samsung keyboard. Understand that if you choose another Android brand you are still going to be bound to Google. Now, that being said, what issues are you having that we might be able to assist you with?

Android came out in 2007 way after samsung had their own operating system i think HTC was the first company to run Android. Samsung can use multiple chips etc and operating systems even Linux. Give us options...

And Samsung decided building and maintaining their own operating system was less cost effective than partnering with Google and just integrating their own shell. It was clear, at that point, that Android was going to be a dominent force in the industry. They partnered, they did not merge. There is a distinct difference.

I know i just realized i could edit my original comment. But who cares about cost effective, we pay that for them now and they will still make profits. If we'd have some options there would be less mass hakable events. Plus we the consumer could feel better paying for the expensive devices. Which by the way with gold going up so much we're going to see much cheaper plastic, glass, and glued on pieces now more than ever with twice the cost.
