I switched from the note 9 to the S24 ultra. I detest the front fingerprint reader. it's hard to reach and doesn't work half the time. It's logged me out of apps multiple times for trying too much. Yes I've redone the whole process multiple times, etc..
The Note 9 rear (back) fingerprint reader worked all the time. always. Never a problem for 5 years. Never failed. Not once. AND, the placement on back of the device is much easier to reach.
In sum: bring back the rear fingerprint sensor from the note 9 to the next samusng phone. If people want the front, then incorporate both front and rear. that would be a HUGE plus for a flagship device.
I agree that, while the ultrasonic reader is cool, it's not the best. But I do like the side-mounted sensor that's integrated into the power button. I currently have this since I use a Flip4, and I previously used this on an S10e as well.
