Verizon Failed January Update

Trying to update my S23 Ultra with the most recent update but it keeps failing. I have a locked Verizon phone. Everytime I try to update, it's super slow and eventually fails giving my "Error Code: 407". I tried clearing cache, clearing data, restarting my phone, using Smart Switch, switching between wifi and data, switching between different wifi networks. I have enough space on my phone (300gb free). If I knew what the error code meant, I could diagnose further. Google hasn't been helpful. Samsung support hasn't been helpful. They are telling me to manually flash my device but I wanna leave that as a last resort. Any suggestions?

I have a Verizon locked S23 Ultra. I got January’s security update Tuesday morning and tried five times to download it. Every time, it was painfully slow and ultimately failed and gave me ‘Error Code: 412’. The last time I tried it was Tuesday evening, and I don't intend to try it again until Verizon gets this issue fixed…I just don't see any point in it. I’ve been with Verizon for over 20 years, and this is literally first problem I've ever had with them, so I’m willing to cut them some slack, so long as they get this fixed fairly soon. This has happened to way too many people, so I don't think that they can just ignore it and hope it goes away.

I had to use smart switch on my PC to download the update

You will have to download smart switch.

Look up Smart Switch in your search browser > download> Plug in device> then press update and then wait

I have S24 Ultra with Verizon. I just successfully updated. Took literally a minute.

S24/version. Same 10 mins ago🙏. After 5 aggravating days 🥳. Was pushing for Android 7 as well too 🤷‍:male_sign:
