Seems like since the last update, I'm deluged with popup ads on my Samsung S24. I have gone through all the steps to block popups but none have worked. Some say that they are part of "Chrome", others say they are part of ATT, neither is found. Anyone else??

@lobolady IME, these are caused by either a malicous 3rd party app which you have loaded or a malicious site the you have visited.

I would recommend deleting your browser cache and browsing data. Also review any 3rd party apps which you have installed recently or have had recent updates.

@lobolady As a troubleshooting step, you can boot into safe mode. If there are no ads while booted in safe mode, then you know they are caused by some 3rd party software.

Ok. So how would I then identify the 3rd party software in safe mode?

IME, you just need to start removing 3rd party software until the ads stop. I would start with the most recently installed apps.

Oh my god, i'm still repairing the damage from this.. He's right it's most likely malware.. From a third party app, they can slip up even in the play store.. But you can also get them by clicking links people. We'll embed things into links like terms of service with Meta, Google, etc. Mine was actually injecting ADS into my text that I was sending. Nobody has helped. I've been troubleshooting it forever. I had to, in the end. And I probably went overboard, but I want it to be Thora. Mine was pretty bad... Reflashed with official firmware factory, reset white cash partition.
Fully updated via Smart Switch over pc. I know that's a lot, but just letting you know, in case yours is as serious as mine was.. I also got a new sim card.
