I just got a new phone and I'm having an issue. When I edit a photo, it completely deletes the original photo. On my old phone, it kept the original and saved the edited one. I've looked through settings and can't find anything to stop this from happening. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

@jeanie70 For quite a while now, when you edit a photo in the Gallery it is saved in the Gallery in a way that you only see the edited photo.

The original is still available though. If you open an edited photo, click the pencil icon to edit, you will see a "Revert" in the upper right. If you click that, it will take you to the original photo.

If you always want to see the original and the edited photo, after editing a photo, click the 3 dot menu in upper right and select "Save copy'.

After you're done editing it, click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select save copy

You should also be able to "revert back to original " as well.

Revert to original seems to cause all my edits to go away, but the three dots works.... thank you!

Yes, reverting back takes off all the edits so you can start from the original again.
