Galaxy S25I had this issue on the S24 Ultra and subsequently also have the same issue on my brand new Galaxy S25 Ultra. Why Samsung did this, or will not address it, is unfortunate because I am going to return a $1200 phone over a trivial matter.
Here is the issue:
Samsung has their own Calendar app. It is titled Calendar and can be opened on the app screen. Now before you get confused, this is not the same as the Google Calendar app. This is Samsung's own built-in Calendar app that is managed through their own app store and pre-installed on virtually all Samsung devices (i.e. Galaxy).
I find Samsung Calendar app to be more visually appealing than Google Calendar app and it integrates well with OneUI. The major problem is this:
It uses Foursquare for mapping. Why? Why would you not use Google Maps? Foursquare does not work inside the Samsung Calendar app, plain and simple; and how this made it past quality control is mind-boggling. Really Samsung, how did this happen?
The other problem, it appears, is that you cannot disable Foursquare as it seems to be integrated into OneUI or the Samsung Calendar app; additionally you cannot switch from Foursquare to Google Maps for mapping purposes when you create a new event.
This is easily demonstrated by opening the Calendar app and entering in an address and clicking on Map. From here you will see where the frustation begins. It does not work. I am in Arizona, entered an address and it suggested some place in Australia.
Please fix this Samsung. Remove Foursquare and use Google Maps.

Galaxy S25That cannot be...
Can you share a screenshot?
I have 5 Galaxy devices (i.e. S24, S24 Ultra, etc.). Everytime I launch the Samsung Calendar app, create a new Event, then enter an address it uses Foursquare.
p.s. I have installed all latest updates.

Galaxy S25Well duh, thatās not the point! You are hijacking the thread. This has nothing to do with Google calendar, so please remove your post, it only adds confusion.
I donāt want to use Google Calendar. Please. Try adding a new Event only using Samsung Calendar and then try entering an address. Samsung Calendar tries to use Foursquare for mapping an address, which does not work! I keep entering local addresses and it cannot find them. It will often suggest addresses in Australia, and Iām in Arizona. Iāve got all updates, etc. This is reported by other people.
Try using Samsung Calendar only, crate a new event and then try to add an address. Report back.
I swear people do not read the post in its entirety.

Galaxy S25You were the one who asked for a screen shot of Samsung calendar using the Google Maps and not Foursquare. I obliged. I will not delete the post and it is not a hijack - it was your request. I merely surmised that since Samsung calendar is not my primary calendar and I have the two calendars synced, may be why my location services default to Google. Does not mean that that's the reason. It could be that your calendar app is just messed up and accessing Foursquare when it shouldn't. Foursquare isn't even a navigation app.

Galaxy S25Interesting. I opened Samsung calendar to make an entry. When I went to put in a location, if I entered the location, it asked me to allow Foursquare to see my location, but if I tapped the "view map" before entering the location, Google maps came up. Bizarre.

Galaxy S25Sorry, I didnāt mean it literally. Itās just a frustrating situation with Samsung. How can they let this go through quality control. I wish they would fix this.
