Good Lock Registar keeps opening specific app

On my previous s24 ultra I used Registar to open Samsung notes when I long pressed the side button. I would like to start using the Gemini assistant that is default on my S25 Ultra. Even if I turn off, uninstall registar it will still open Samsung notes instead of Gemini. I've uninstalled Samsung notes and it still tries to open it when I long press the side button. I've also turned off that feature in registar. When I do that Gemini will work for exactly 24 hours and then reverts back to opening Samsung notes.

Any ideas how to fix this? It's quite annoying. Something feels broken.

I've tried. Doesn't work the same way. It will open Gemini that way but the default on S25 would open Gemini with microphone on.

I'm wondering if I would need to factory reset the phone and not bring over apps and settings.

Other things I've tried are wiping the cache partition and resetting all app permissions. Neither helped.

Why is it problematic if Gemini opens with the microphone on?  At least it opens, as you want it to.  In any case, you have done most troubleshooting except for the reset, so you should put in an error report through the support tab in the Members app.

If you do decide to reset your phone, there should be no issue with restoring your current backup, as most things that get twisted are not contained in the backup.  It's also doubtful that moving your apps over via Smart Switch caused this, so if you still have your old device and want to try Smart Switch again, it should not be an issue.  You can, of course, start from scratch if you have the patience to redownload everything and set it all up again. You should take steps, however, to back up your photos and other important files before resetting.  PS: If I reset any device and choose to start from scratch, I make it easy on myself and only install the essential apps first, everything else is on an as needed basis.

First world problem. Because then I have to hit the microphone button on the screen to start talking lol. I will report the issue.

Actually funny that you mention it, this issue was also happening on my S24 before I Smart Switched everything over. I didn't think much of it because it was days before I got my S25. I thought Good Lock settings wouldn't come over with Smart Switch.

Odd, when I activate Gemini, the mic is not on, it's just there within the popup as an option to use. Does activating Gemini touching the mic, activate the voice input by talking ?

In the marketing for S25 series phones, it shows when you hold down the side button. A small pop up for Gemini shows up with the microphone activated. This is to support their Seamless Actions Across Apps functionality. No need to hit the microphone option.

When I go into Registar, which shows that it's off, I can turn Registar back on and then turn it off and then Gemini opens just like it supposed to. If I go more than 24 hours without going into Registar it reverts back to opening Samsung Notes when I long press the side button.

What I mean by being on, is that yes, the mic icon is there as in this screenshot I just took. But the mic is not actively on as in actually listening to any voice input. One has to click on the mic icon for it to be active to listen to voice commands/queries.
