Galaxy S25I'm wondering if I would need to factory reset the phone and not bring over apps and settings.
Other things I've tried are wiping the cache partition and resetting all app permissions. Neither helped.

Galaxy S25Why is it problematic if Gemini opens with the microphone on? At least it opens, as you want it to. In any case, you have done most troubleshooting except for the reset, so you should put in an error report through the support tab in the Members app.
If you do decide to reset your phone, there should be no issue with restoring your current backup, as most things that get twisted are not contained in the backup. It's also doubtful that moving your apps over via Smart Switch caused this, so if you still have your old device and want to try Smart Switch again, it should not be an issue. You can, of course, start from scratch if you have the patience to redownload everything and set it all up again. You should take steps, however, to back up your photos and other important files before resetting. PS: If I reset any device and choose to start from scratch, I make it easy on myself and only install the essential apps first, everything else is on an as needed basis.

Galaxy S25Actually funny that you mention it, this issue was also happening on my S24 before I Smart Switched everything over. I didn't think much of it because it was days before I got my S25. I thought Good Lock settings wouldn't come over with Smart Switch.

Galaxy S25When I go into Registar, which shows that it's off, I can turn Registar back on and then turn it off and then Gemini opens just like it supposed to. If I go more than 24 hours without going into Registar it reverts back to opening Samsung Notes when I long press the side button.
