Have US unlocked version of S25 ultra. When I set the phone on complete mute or vibrate only the videos playing on YouTube or Facebook is not getting muted. This was not the issue in S24 ultra, where I used to see individual app control on the 'volume' pop-up menu. That's not the case with the latest S25 ultra's latest software. Turning on/off the "separate app sound" has no effect. I tried various options in the settings but there no success. Looks like a glitch.

You have to mute the media slider too.  Pressing the volume down button only mutes the phone ringer.  If you press either volume button and bring up the volume slider panel, make sure all the sliders are down.  The audio from FB or YT videos are media sounds, so you have to mute the media volume as well.  Once can want their phone ringer and notifications muted but still want to listen to music.

I'm talking about the UI button for sound in the drop down quick setting. You set that to mute or vibrate it should turn off all the sounds in the system. Which is how it works in earlier Galaxy models.

Also like you said once I muted the entire system sound then I can individually control each media sound in the earlier models. That's not the case now. First of all like I mentioned in the original message "separate app sound" option is not displaying individual media in the 'volume' menu when it's turned ON.

If you only muted the *system* sound that does not mute all sounds. Pressing the icon to mute, only mutes the *system* sounds. You have to bring up the volume panel and mute the media sounds. The first image is when you bring up the volume panel, all sounds are on. The second image is what happens when you press the quick panel icon to mute. You can see the media volume is unmuted. You have to manually mute it.

Pressing the highlighted button in the 'quick menu' mutes everything on the phone. That includes all the media that's playing. That's how it is still working on my S24 ultra. I know how to manually control media, system, ringtone extra individually using the side buttons and in then 'volume' pop-up menu. That's not useful in many cases, the practical phone users will understand what I'm saying1738621252528.jpg

My second image shows the panel immediately after tapping the sound icon in the quick panel to mute. It mutes the system, notification and ring tone sounds, but not the media sounds.

If you don't already have it installed you need to download Sound Assistant from Good Lock to do this once you have Sound Assistant open it and toggle on Media Manner Mode1738629161496.jpg
