S25 ultra mic turns off if switching apps

Recently received my s25 ultra. The one thing I noticed is that I cannot leave an app if mic is in use. For example on a WhatsApp voice call, if I switch apps, the mic turns off even if the call is on in the background. This has to be addressed.

Hello, I am having issues with my new Samsung S25+ when using Whatsapp. Whenever I call someone, sometimes on the other side of the line, they can't hear me. I believe it is the app because I have tried using the earpiece, the speaker and my Galaxy Buds Pro 3 and from time to time it happens. Does anyone know what is the issue?

Same phone it's hard to say exactly with new models it could be app issue maybe contact them and ask

I am facing the same issue with the S25 Ultra. I have also tried unpairing the Buds 3 Pro, force-stopping the app, and reinstalling WhatsApp, but to no avail. Hopefully, WhatsApp will fix this issue soon.

I noticed that the issue is with the Buds 3 Pro because when I put a call on speakerphone in WhatsApp, the person on the other line can hear me.

Thanks for your comment. In my case, not really. I have had the issue on Whatsapp with my earpiece and speaker. It does not only happen with the buds 3 pro.

I was able to contact Whatsapp support and escalate the problem. They said they were sort of aware and that they were working on fixing it.

I have the exact same problem. In my case If I leave whatsapp to open another app while I am in a call, the other person won't hear me anymore. Apparently is the phone that doesn't recognize we still in the call and microphone deactivates.

Me for instance, when I call a person and that person is in speaker, and go out of the WhatsApp application, also the other person cannot hear me if I don't go back to application!?!

That never happened before, only on Galaxy S25 Ultra I'm using.

I can confirm that this is an issue too with my Samsung S25+
