Something is wrong with the background play of the YouTube Premium app. It allows you to send a new video to the background once. If you maximize it and try to send it to the background again, it just stops playing. Sometimes, it does not even work at all.

ā€ƒi don't see anything that shows tap or swipe to all apps in the bottom? Do I have to switch to swipe gestures I prefer the buttons of the home screen

No switching required. I think my description is horrible. While your YouTube video is playing, press the recent apps button. Next to your Home and Back buttons. The YouTube app and other apps will appear, ready for you to switch apps. Instead, just press the home button. All the apps will be minimized and your video will still be playing in background.

I see .. interesting but when I follow those steps YouTube immediately stays minimized into a smaller screen and doesn't go away... Only until I press the little headphones icon which then puts in the background but then we are back to the original issue where it stops playing it... You know what's weird it's not even consistent sometimes it stops playing sometimes it doesn't.. But I'm convinced it's something with the new UI..thank you though

I feel your pain. My shortcut helps a little. Just start playing your video, then press the recent button (mine is to the right of the home button). This will show all your recent apps. While they are all showing, press the home button. All the apps will go to background including YouTube which will still be playing.

YouTube on my S25 Ultra is draining my battery like crazy. It doesn't happen all the time , but most often. I'll get a notification stating, YouTube is running a high resource usage and I need to put the app in deep sleep. I never had this issue with the S24 Ultra or any other device. Even on iPhones, YouTube works great, with no issues. Hopefully Samsung can come up with a fix for this as this was not a problem on previous Galaxy S series.
