Something is wrong with the background play of the YouTube Premium app. It allows you to send a new video to the background once. If you maximize it and try to send it to the background again, it just stops playing. Sometimes, it does not even work at all.

I'm not a software engineer, but from what the error notices imply to me is that it's a YouTube problem not a phone problem.

What a bummer. Coming from a fold 4 with the same exact issue I was hoping this brand new ultra would be able to handle anything thrown at it.

Putting an app to sleep or deep sleep does not affect its functionality. It just stops it from running in the background when you are not actively using it. If it runs in the background constantly it will drain your battery. You should folow device care recommendations unless you have a reason not to. There's a reason you get a warning. You can't expect a phone to do all your maintenance work for you. Keep it running in the background if you don't mind a dead battery. The phone doesn't care. It just gives you options. I believe you can turn the warnings/notifications off. It's a YT issue, anyway so don't blame the phone for trying to protect itself and you.

It does effect it's functionality I already tried it..I have Yt premium (been using it for years) if u put it up deep sleep it will stop playing the video when you turn the screen off thus defeating the purpose of yt premium

Why would you want the video running ehen your screen is off?. If you don't want the warning and you don't want to put the app to sleep, go to settings/apps/device care. Once in device care, tap the dot menu for settings, go to notifications/notification categories and turn off the warnings you don't want. If you don't have notification categories turned on, either furn them on if you want to disable specific notifications, or just turn off notifications alltogether. Also, you can just put it to sleep - does not have to be deep sleep.

Multiple reasons why one would want it running during screen off.. listening to music that is on YT and not on other platforms, podcasts, etc..

There is a Google Play System update today. Maybe it will fix it.
As a plus, the update did add YouTube to NowBar. I listen to a lot of pod casts, so this will come in handy.

@Members_jyHSzuB This is really weird. I am not having any issues with Youtube on my S25 Ultra. And didn't have any issue when I had a Fold 4 either.

Are you using the real Youtube or some hacked version to get around ads?

I would consider that you may have a conflict between Youtube and some other 3rd party app.
