S25 Ultra overheating and poor battery life

I had this issue on my S24 Ultra in late summer, so I decided to trade it in for the S25 Ultra and it's happening straight out of the box. The phone gets really warm and the battery starts dropping at like... 1% every minute or two. Restarting the phone stops it for a little while but then it keeps doing it. I've included the battery graph, and you can see it just randomly curve down. Does anyone know what could be causing this? My Pixel 8 gets better battery life at this point!

Edit: 90 minutes of being bounced around support agents and I'm done. I'm returning this piece of junk and recommend anyone who's experiencing the same thing to do the same.

I have the same issue.

Battery drained 34% for 2 hours of YouTube watching 1 hour with display and 1 hour with display off with BT headphones.

1 hour on WiFi and 1 hour on mobile Internet.

Phone just became very warm and drained 1% of battery every 3-4 minutes

After I closed YouTube - battery stopped draining immediately.

I calculated that with this phone I can watch about 6 hours of YouTube.

Similar to my old S21 Ultra.

Do a factory reset before you return it maybe a factory reset will sell this isue and by the way that is  common that the phone get Warm it is normal i also hatt this isue becourse the phone will pattern first . That what i did when idet my S25 Ultra is i switch of GPS always on display and nfc and lett the phone on 1080 full HD+ resolution that helps  the phone and now after 2 weeks the batterylife is much better . Try  to avoid havey game for awhile and lett the Learn first you patters and if it still shows the same problem then return it . Give it a try . Hope that help you .

I have factory reset and set up the phone multiple times. It is *not* normal for the phone to get warm when it's doing nothing. I shouldn't have to do anything special to get excellent battery life out of a $1400 smartphone.

Mine is barely 3 hour screen on time... brightness auto, resolution lowest possible, I put literally all apps into deep sleep menu idk what can I do more. I got mine at Jan 30 I thought Ai on the phone doing something like learning etc but till this moment nothing changed even slightest! I was coming from iPhone 16 pro max and I already missed its battery life but before that I guess I gonna return this nonsense thing and try oneplus 13.

I am experiencing overheating issues, too. Samsung suggested me to perform a wipe cache partition, which fixed it the first time, but I am still having overheating issues under normal use. I don't even use the phone for games.
