After a long waited switch back to Samsung I've had a horrible experience to be honest. I pre ordered the S25U. I lost my grandfathered plan I had with AT&T thanks to them and now I no longer have HBO Max. I didn't appreciate or approved the plan changes through the website. The S25U was a major let down with the "play it safe" Ultra no major upgrade from last year's phone. So I returned the phone and ordered a S24U now the fact they're not wanting to release the One Ui 7 update I'm very skeptical of the 6 years left of 7 year promised updates. My old iphone 13 pro max is still getting updates without delays. So after all this I'm returning both phones and going back to a more "STABLE" ecosystem.

Pre-order was through Samsung's website for S25U with free Gb upgrade to 512gb with $20 Samsung earbud pro 3's. No trade in because i wanted to keep my old phone because it was damaged. It asked which carrier I selected AT&T. It didn't say anything about which plan i had or that it would change anything. I verified with AT&T and Samsung before purchasing twice on two different days if my plan was going to change they both said nothing will change with plan. Now I'm not sure where translation was mixed up but something happened. Only carrier specific information and details was given to me was being able to not select a Samsung website exclusive color.

Galaxy S25With what you are relating, nothing *should* have changed. However, as I said before, if Samsung put in the purchase as a new plan activation, even for one second before they realized their error, the grandfathering would be gone.

I appreciate your advice. I hate that it couldn't get resolved but I do love the S24U over the S25U I've been using it today and reconsidered giving it another chance before my return date passes. I believe you're correct. Its just kind of weird on how these systems work when trying to do carrier plans on phone websites. It doesn't show you which plan you have it just showed me that I had one. So it's something to think about now Samsung has some of the best pre-order deals and trade ins rates I've seen. So I was happy about that. I do plan on sticking with android just not sure which one I'll end up with.

When you did the pre-order, did you do it through Samsung's site and order an AT&T carrier phone?
