Smart Switch will not move my text messages

I've tried using Smart Switch several times to move my text messages from my S24 Ultra (on the One UI 7 beta) to my S25 Ultra, and every time Messages is always greyed out. See the attached screenshot. I've tried clearing cache and data on both phones for Smart Switch, and still happens with either wireless or with a USBC cable. Rebooting also didn't help. Has anyone else encountered this and gotten around it? Thank you.

Not sure if you saw my solution but I had this same problem with messages going from s24 to s25 and I solved it. I made this video to show how to fix it - https://youtu.be/qUBt5qd2dQY

Basically the problem is due to having Google messages and samsung messages app. You need to make sure both messages app are enabled and working.

All of my text messages moved over?
Did you click all?

Try again using Smart Switch, use custom and select just text messages and make sure you click on all!

do you have messages by Samsung or google messages set as default?

Back up the information on the s24 and then you will be able to move it over. I had the same issue

On old phone go to Settings > Accounts and Backup > Samsung Cloud Backup Data select all then on new phone same steps except you want Restore Data
