I understand that the charger shipping with my Galaxy Watch 7 has a magnet to help keep the watch on the charger. Is the magnet strong enough to possibly harm nearby electronics? For example: If the charger gets close to my portable external hard drive,  can the magnetism from the charger harm the electronics in the hard drive? Thanks for your help.

@Sammix No it's not going to harm your portable external drive.

Is your portable external hard drive a mechanical one with spinning disk? or an SSD? SSD would certainly not experience any damage.

These days HDDs are generally safe from day to day issues, as LongHiker mentioned, there's minimal risk if you have an SSD. While it's generally a good idea to keep magnets away from electronics, you would need a very strong magnet to significantly corrupt data on a HDD. You shouldn't have to worry about the magnet in your charger causing any issues šŸ™‚

HDD, what's that? šŸ˜ƒ

Everything I have is SSD. But the point you are both making, that the amount of magnetism is very low, means I don't have to worry, so I won't. Thanks!
